Final Match for Seniors Team
The result from yesterday’s Seniors Team match: Hexham 7 City 5
This was our final game of the season at the beautiful course of Hexham. The sunburnt course was a sight to see. Rain is desperately needed!
We are still table toppers, however I expect Stocksfield to get the required points next week at Whitley Bay to win the league.
It has been a great season, enjoyed by all who have represented this great club. The camaraderie throughout the season has been fantastic. Our thanks also to the Club, who have provided us with excellent food throughout the season.

Seniors Team Gain 8 Points against Whitley Bay
The result from today’s Seniors Team match: City 8 Whitley Bay 4
For our last home game of the season we welcomed our friends from the coast. On a red hot day I have never seen so many umbrellas displayed as sun blockers!
The current leading league positions show that we are top of the table, level with Stocksfield who have a game in hand:

- City of Newcastle 85 (played 11)
- Backworth 81 (played 11)
- Gosforth 75 (played 11)
The final game of the season takes place at Hexham on Monday.

Valuable 5 Points for Seniors at Gosforth
The result from yesterday’s Seniors Team match: Gosforth 7 City 5
The table toppers visited our neighbours Gosforth, and had another debutant – Keith Wilkinson. It was a valuable 5 points gained which keeps City in top spot.
There are only two games left of the current season. Whitley Bay are our next opponents on 11th August.

Another win for Seniors Team
The result from yesterday’s Seniors Team match: City 7 Backworth 5
After the recent heatwave, conditions were perfect – light winds and a pleasant temperature. Another debutant in Micky Irvine, sadly he and his partner were pipped on the 18th! Points are accumulating and with 3 games left we are still in a strong position.
The current leading league positions are:

- Stocksfield 71 (played 8)
- Gosforth 65 (played 9)
The next game is away to Gosforth on Thursday 28th July.
