Seniors Christmas Competition Results
On a season cold and frosty morning, 47 Seniors braved the impending Storm Barra to compete in the 2020/2021 Xmas Competition yesterday. Well done to everyone for coming out, and it was great that so many dressed in festive hats, jumpers etc. to add Christmas cheer to the day. Chairman Tony Dancer set everyone off with a free commemorative golf ball and relieved players of a bottle prize donation and at least £1 for the bonus ball.
The winner of the competition was Colin Kemp with an impressive 43 points, and the best 8 scorers received a voucher for the pro-shop:

Steve Paxton also won the £60 bonus ball prize, thanks to a recount and Simon Anthony's "random number generator".
The prize for the most festive atire went to "Big Santa" Paul White, who won a tin of Quality Street.
Following the presentation of prizes by Chairman Tony, members collected their bottle prizes and many stayed for the AGM (notes to follow later).
Seniors Championship Results
The Seniors Championship competition (strokeplay format) was played on Tuesday 14th September, on an overcast day with a little drizzle here and there. The course was in good condition with quick, true greens. 47 members teed off – a great turnout! A good round of golf was finished nicely with a steaming plate of bangers, mash and onion gravy!

Seniors Team Finish Runners-Up
The Northumberland Seniors Golf League 2021 ended with the City runners up to League Champions Bedlington. 12 matches played - winning 8, drawing 2 and 2 narrow defeats.

Seniors Team Draw Final Game
The result from today’s Seniors Team match: Tynemouth 6 City 6
This was our second draw in as many matches, and it was sufficient to ensure that we finished joint second in the League.
Once again the team enjoyed a good course, good food and good company!

Seniors Team Draw With Westerhope
The result from today’s Seniors Team match: City 6 Westerhope 6
This was our second game in 36 hours, the points being shared – our first drawn game of the season.
Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the bangers and mash, followed by sticky toffee pudding.
This results means that the team moves into 2nd place in the league:
