Invitation Day

INVITATION DAY
Ladies’ Invitation Day took place on Friday, 27th August.
We had a fabulous day!
The results were as follows:
In first place: Jenny Hall and Rachel Michie with 49 pts.
In 2nd place: Janette Fellows and Yvonne Coutts with 44 pts (count back)
In 3rd pace: Carrol West and Susan Bintcliffe with 44 pts
Nearest the pin on the 2nd was Alison McConnell - 40”
Nearest the pin on the 14th was Carol Graham with 42.5”
After the competition, the ladies enjoyed a 2 course meal, which was of an excellent standard, and enjoyed by all!

Match Report

Our Ladies second team played their re-arranged away match at Gosforth on 2nd August. It was a crunch match for both teams, City pushing for promotion and Gosforth fighting against relegation.
Cindy led us out a final time, followed by Lynn, Chrissie, Dot, Lisa, Julie and Carole C. Both teams played some fantastic golf with City coming away winners 4.5 - 2.5. This was a good result for both Clubs as it secured 4th division place for Gosforth and strengthened our lead at the top of the league.
We await confirmation from the County that we have won the league so watch this space!!

Match Report

The Ladies second team traveled to Seahouses for what is always a difficult away match.

On a glorious summer’s day, Cindy Elborn led the team out, followed by Lynn Jacobs, Dot Lee, Lisa Mackie, Julie Schofield and Louise Lewis, making her second team debut.

We all loved the course and were delighted to come away with a 6-1 win, substantiating our lead at the top of the division.

Our final match is away at Gosforth GC with everything to play for. Fingers crossed!
