Xmas Trophy

Members - it is yet again disappointing to have to cancel the trophy competition due to adverse course ground conditions following substantial dumps of snow and a rapid thaw yesterday.

The course remains CLOSED.

The Xmas trophy will not now be played  (2017).

Seniors Section - competition 6th March

Good morning members.

The prospect of playing the already belated  'Xmas' trophy scheduled for Tuesday 6th MARCH may

fall by reason of the current weather and forecasts likley in the next seven days - 'thunder

snow' and the 'beast from the east'.  We will continue to monitor day by day and will make an announcement  prior to the day of play.  Do not travel unless  course open and trolleys allowed.

National Seniors Club Classic

National Seniors Pairs Championship

The National Seniors Club Classic is a Matchplay team event, now in its 20th year. Teams of four (+ up to three reserves) are drawn either at home or away in this knockout competition, arranged on a regional basis in the early rounds to minimise travel. Entry is £43 per team.

The National Seniors Pairs Championship is a major pairs

matchplay event, again on a home or away basis and regional to

begin with. You can expect to play about five rounds before reaching the semi-finals and final. Entry is £27 per pair and one reserve may

be named to cover for any illness of either main player.

Maximum handicap in both is 18, players must be 55 or over.

There is no maximum number of teams/Pairs that may enter from each Club.  First-round losers in both tournaments are entered into a "Plate" tournament. Finals will be at Staverton Park in mid October.

Full details of how to enter can be found on our website
