A new winter midweek stableford singles competition is available to enter each week from today. Members can select one day, Monday to Friday, to play in the competition. Players must register their intent to play before teeing off, by signing in at the terminals in the Pro’s Shop or the Trolley Shed, then attaching the printed label to their scorecard. The printed labels help us sort out the cards most efficiently. Exceptionally, if the terminals are not available then members can sign in using the HowDidIDo app.
The format is singles stableford, and entry is open to Men and Women. Playing Handicap is 95% of your Course Handicap. Players must complete a scorecard, have it signed by a marker and return it in the competitions box in the trolley shed, and enter their scores on to the system using either the terminals in the Trolley Shed or the Pro’s Shop or by using the HowDidIDo app.
Entrance fee is £1, and prizes will be awarded for the best scores at the end of each week. Play is currently from the Yellow and Red tees, and Ladies receive two courtesy to reflect the different Course Ratings. Scores count for Handicap purposes while we do not have preferred lies in operation in the Semi rough.
At some point over winter we expect to move to the winter course, at which point this competition will be played from the winter course. Any scores from the summer course will still count if the switch occurs during the week.
