Following the superb 12-0 win in the previous match  the team played a gritty match away at Whitley bay   securing a 

draw 6-6.   David Corke /Jim watson & Gerry Morgan & David McLean  enjoyed wins whilst  Alan Johnson/John Stephenson & David Fletcher/Keith Ridden halved their matches.    This result places the CITY at the top of the league with 2 matches to be played.

  Northumberland team suffered a 4-8 defeat away at H exham  a result that leaves them one point behind the City.  
It is going down to the wire - City to play Hexham at home and  away to Ponteland in the final match.
