Q - I notice the course is closed for work in August, the greens seem fantastic at the moment why would we do this?
A - The greens we are currently enjoying are result of sand injection works and regular maint done during last season. To continue to improve we have been advised to carry out the operation at least twice. This will take place on August 6th and 7th and then again in October. The course will be closed on the Monday in order to let the lads get on with the work without worrying about people on the course. There may be restricted use on the Tuesday but this is indicated at time of booking.
Q - The pace of play on a weekend is absolutley shocking!!! what are you proposing to do about it?
A - The issue is amount of people on the course aswell as difficulty in finding balls in the trees. A marshall would help but with course so conjested it would be difficult to speed things up. We will trial in the coming weeks 10minute tee off times aswell as the use of a marshall. We are mindful that availabiltiy will reduce but we need to look at all options as we aim to speed up play.
Q - I have noticed that the office hours have reduced, can you explain why this is?
A - Due to sickness we have been forced to trial limited opening hours to general enquiries. We are pleased to say that Pat has returned but is for now working 2 days rather than her normal 3 using some of accrued holidays. This means that for the next few weeks at least the office will be closed to general enquires on a Wednesday. As you know your email enquires are answered within 8 working hours and we would encourage you to continue to use this service for quick replies. We take this opportunity to thank Candi who has stepped up over the last 3 months and covered the sickness leave.
Q - the kids summer holidays are almost upon us, what should we do if we see kids on the course?
A - Please simply call 101 and report the matter to the police, if we are to see improvement we do need you to make the call when possible.
