The Northumberland County Team travelled to Manchester Golf Club last week to defend their Northern Counties Title (The Big Six).

Club interest for the City with our lads, Andrew Minnikin, Alex Dixon and Phil Ridden representing the County.

It's a brutal format with all 6 players' scores counting over 36 holes.

After 18 holes Northumberland trailed Lancashire by 17 shots: but after an incredible turn around in the afternoon, lead by Alex Dixon with a fantastic 7 under 65, Nortumberland lifted the title by 8 shots!

Rising to the occasion, Alex had the best individual score of the day on 9 under total: (2 under 70 in the morning, and his 65 in the afternoon):

The team will now travel to Remedy Oak Golf Club in September to compete in the National Final.
