The lads played their quarter final match in the league's knockout cup last night at Southmoor.
Having beaten Wearside away in the previous round (Jack Lillie, Michael Rutter and Rob Muir with wins, Ian Smith and Tony Stevenson losing) the team continued their march to the semifinals with another away victory:
Format is team of 5 playing off handicaps: 3 points wins the tie.
On the night Jack Lillie lost but wins from John Franklin and Neil Elborn and a half from player manager Michael Rutter set up a tight finish, with Tony Stevenson all square on the last tee needing at least a half to win the tie.
Tony was up to the task, winning the final hole for an overall 3.5 - 1.5 victory.
Draw for the semi's is made in a couple of weeks.
Well done lads.
