Tonight we entertained Ryton, in a fixture brought forward so as not to clash with the England match.

Andrew Broady out of sorts, lost to Sam Henderson  3 & 2

Ken Cairns playing number one had a good 2 & 1 win against Chris Stavers.

Dave Ridley, seeking revenge after a heavy defeat against Mark Smith at Ryton, prevailed with a 5 & 4 win.

Same score for Kev Hutchinson against Steve Lee and Neil Elborn against Michael Muldoon.

Great to see Davey MacDonald, stepping in at short notice, pick up a 3 & 2 win against former City member Richard Bainbridge.

Keith Alexander fought back from being down all night to get a half against Robbie Beverley.

So a great final result 11 - 3.
