Looks like a big field for Captain’s Day on Saturday. 

As well as the competition itself, Captain’s Day provides an opportunity to raise some funds for our chosen charity.

This year, Judy Lillico (Lady Captain) and I have chosen “Gym Possible”, run by Drew Graham as our charity.

Drew, Carol and Gary’s son, is the Joe Wicks of the disabled world!

During lockdowns, Gym Possible produced over 100 adapted programmes, fitness videos and workouts for people with a disability.

As restrictions ease, Drew is happy to announce that he is moving into new premises, at Tumble Gymnastics in Longbenton. 

He is looking forward to beginning face to face sessions with his clients again later in July.

All of the entry fee will be donated to the charity.

Player information:

Starters will be around to help with the smooth running of day from 6.45am.

Please turn up for your tee time make sure you enter on the app or in the pro shop! 

Steve is opening the pro shop at 6.30am.

The Clubhouse will be open earlier than normal:

6.30am the bar be staffed for coffee’s etc

10.00am food will be available.

There’ll be a (not quite) halfway house (tent) behind the 7^th green, for beers, soft drinks and snacks.

Best junior under 21

Best Little Junior (9 hole competition for the little’uns)

Nearest the pins on the par 3’s and nearest in 2 on the 18^th.

Please make sure you remember to record your score on the app when you complete your round. This will help the comps lads close the competition soon after the last players get in.

We’ll have a ‘presentation’ in the evening about 9.00pm when the admin is completed. (usual covid rules) 

If you’ve won a prize please try to get along.

We are to keep the bar open a little longer with last orders at 11.30pm clubhouse closing at 12.00pm.
