Introduction of Winter tees from Monday 25th October

General Club Noticeboard : Introduction of Winter tees from Monday 25th October

We are moving to the winter tees and the winter card from this Monday, 25th October, following recommendation from our Head Greenkeeper, Craig.  The intention is to protect vulnerable parts of the course and to provide the best chance of regrowth for next season.  Roped areas will also be placed on the course to protect other areas of the course.  (The ropes and posts must not be moved and are treated as Ground Under Repair).

Men will receive one courtesy shot in mixed entry competitions to reflect the difference in the Course Ratings and Pars of the Men’s and Women’s courses.  Preferred Lies will continue to be in place on the fairways and the semi-rough.

The greens heights will be raised and mowing frequency reduced over the next week to help protect the sward and grass coverage to help protect against disease that we can otherwise experience at this time of year. The Course ratings and Playing Handicaps for the Winter Courses are attached.
