Welcome to Clubhouse Services.
This section of the club’s website is to make you,the members, aware of what is happening at our golf club. The team members of the Clubhouse Services are: Michael Rutter, Dave Fletcher, Louise Lewis, Alan Johnson, John Wright, and Bill Gibson. Stu Bowman is also integral on behalf of the Bar and Catering. We meet on a monthly basis, usually a week before the General Committee meeting.
The focus of this sub committee is how to add value to our great club. The areas that we are responsible for are as follows:
• House
• Corporate Issues
• Entertainment
• Marketing
This sub committee was formed in October 2017. Since then, we have:
• Undertaken a full member survey asking members for their views of our golf club, and also asking for suggestions for improvement.
• Members have now been provided withfeedback from this survey and also a long termaction plan and a short term ‘you said, we did’.
• Actions are now underway to address some of these issues.
• A workshop was held with our bar and cateringstaff to understand their ideas on the challenges they face in doing their work well and efficiently. We also explored actions that can be taken to respond to those challenges. This session demonstrated that our great staff have many great ideas how we can improve clubhouse services to members. It was reassuring that many are in tune with the member’s own ideas, as revealed by the survey referred to above.
• Our mens and ladies league teams now have clothing sponsors: These are Stonemarket, ACR and Get Smart. We are currently trying to obtain sponsors for the senior section.
• We are working towards achieving England Golf’s accredited Golf Mark’. We hope to be awarded this in the spring of 2018. Golf Mark recognises that a Golf Club is well managed, focussed on member experience, a safe environment in which to play and offers the opportunity for coaching and development
• Social events are now in place until the end of October with more being planned. Please see the noticeboard in the lobby for more details, or watch this space! We will also be offering special fuctions, linked with sporting / nationalevents.
