You can now book your times in pairs for the 130 year celebration team event on Saturday, 2nd October using the Booking option on the HowDidIDo or Club V1 members apps, or in the Pro Shop.
Members will enter in pairs, and a draw will be made to join up the pairs into teams of four, with the intention of members playing with some different faces. Booking is open until Tuesday 28th September at 7pm, but slots are limited.
Alternatively, you can enter as a single member by emailing us at email@example.com with any time preference and we’ll do our best to join you up into a team around your preferred time.
Entrance to the competition is £3 per player and will be taken when booking. The winning team will receive £130 to share out and other prizes will be available on the day. All competitors will receive a pen and pitch mark repairer to commemorate the date. Players can remove themselves from the entry using the app up until Tuesday, 28th at 7pm and the entry fee will be returned. The entrance fees of any members withdrawing after then will not be returned and will be donated to the Captains’ Charity.
The format will be for teams of four men and/or women to compete in a Waltz (1,2,3; 1,2,3) format, where the best stableford score only counts at the first hole; the best 2 scores at second hole; the best 3 scores at third hole; repeating with best 1 at fourth, 2 at fifth; 3 at sixth etc…. The winner is the team with the most stableford points. Players will receive a Playing Allowance of 85% of their Course Handicap. (In the event of a team playing with only three players then the Playing Allowance will be 90%.)
The winners will be announced at the 130th Celebration event in the evening, where there will be food and a disco, with evening tickets available now from the bar at £10.
